Rafael's stocks rising says Man Utd boss Ferguson

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson feels Rafael's performances this season are helping his stocks rise.

The Brazilian right-back has been a mainstay in Ferguson's side so far this campaign and the boss suggests he matured greatly as a player after a mediocre beginning at Old Trafford.

"Rafael came into the team at 18 and made a lot of mistakes," said Ferguson. "He was very rash.

"But we invested in him for our future and he is showing that maturity now."
