Rafael: Man Utd players to blame for disappointing season

Rafael da Silva says that the Manchester United players should shoulder the blame for last season's disappointing showing, reports SkySports. The 23-year-old admitted that it was difficult to adapt following Sir Alex Ferguson's departure last summer, but believes that he and his team-mates should take responsibility for United's failings.

"The year was not normal. I had been there for six years, I was a champion three times, runners-up twice," he told Globo Esporte.

"I think this is football, we changed manager after 26 years and that affects any team. Each manager has his own style.

"The players are to blame too, the things changed off the field, now we have to try again next season."
