Manchester United's pursuit of Benfica midfielder Nicolas Gaitan has intensified, with the Premier League outfit prepared to include defender Rafael in a potential deal.
Rafael's agent Cassiano Pereira told Record that talks are already underway between United and the Portuguese club about a deal involving the two players.
"Benfica and Manchester United are in negotiations over Gaitan and one offer includes Rafael to join Benfica," Pereira said.
"Rafael wants to join Benfica. It's a big European club. If the talks proceed, it will not be difficult to reach an agreement."
Gaitan's Benfica deal reportedly has a £25.1million release clause in it.
