Rafael da Silva hopes Wayne Rooney stays with Manchester United. Rafael regards his teammate as a role model.

Rooney is a "great player, always a good example to learn from", according to Rafael, who is aware of speculation that Rooney may leave United.

"He's already at the best club in the world," he told the Mail on Sunday. "I really want him to stay but it's his choice."
