Former Barcelona defender Rafa Marquez is a big fan of New York Red Bulls teammate Tim Ream.

American soccer have high hopes for the young defender - and he has already impressed Mexico international Marquez.

"He's obviously a great player and we're starting to understand each other really nicely," Marquez told the New York Post.

"Hopefully we're going to be able to be one of the best defensive lines in the league."
