Racing striker Nikola Zigic is on the brink of signing for Valencia.

Valencia president Juan Soler has already sounded out Racing counterpart Francisco Pernia about a deal for the powerful centre-forward.

Both Pernia and Zigic are keen to see the move happen and indications are that Valencia will accelerate negotiations this week for the striker, who is rated in the £15 million class.
