Former Newcastle United striker Mick Quinn has backed the sale of Mathieu Debuchy to Arsenal.
Quinn wrote in the Evening Chronicle: "If Arsenal want to spend £12m on Mathieu Debuchy then Newcastle United should let them.
"It would not bother me if he left or stayed. I suppose my indifference sums up my feelings on him. It's fair to say that I'm not a fan.
"Debuchy is not a great defender, although he is decent going forward.
"And when you are not the best at defending as a right-back, then it's something of a negative.
"If he stays, then fine. He is a Premier League player. But he's not overly impressed me."
