Franck Queudrue refuses to give up on his career at Birmingham City.
"I've had a sit down with Alex McLeish and told him that I'm ready to fight for my place but I know I have to wait for my opportunity," he told the Sunday Mercury. "I don't pay attention to transfer talk, obviously if he brings a new player in then they will want to play and I'll have to try and get a chance.
"But it wasn't my style of coaching so we had a face-to-face and I got to say what I thought. It's difficult when you've just signed for a new club.
"It's happened before. When I was at Fulham Chris Coleman signed me and then got fired but that happens. My wife and I are settled and we just want to stay. I'm not going to make any silly decisions.
"But you never know what the future holds. For the moment I'm happy at Birmingham but I just need to be given a bit more time to play. I hope the manager gives me a chance and that I will take it and prove I can play."
