Manchester United assistant boss Carlos Queiroz admits they needed "help from above" to beat Chelsea in last night's Champions League penalty shootout.

The Portuguese reflected: "We have suffered a lot. In the first-half we were good. Then we lost a little control. To win the big trophies you need a bit of luck and not fail in certain moments.

"With a little luck we won the penalty shootout. We had a bit of help from above."
