Queensland's Moore focused on club duties for the moment

After a re-call to the Socceroos squad, veteran defender Craig Moore could be forgiven for getting carried away bit its business as usual for the Roar captain. Whilst Moore was happy to be included in the squad of 35 for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Qatar in Brisbane on October 15, his focus at present is the form of the Queensland Roar and the daunting task of travelling to Sydney to take on the Sky Blues this weekend. "It's a nice reward for the way things have gone maybe in the last couple of games," he quipped. "Whether or not I'm there at the end and playing against Qatar I don't know, but I'll go in there and do my best. "We've still got a domestic game to go before then so I'm not really looking too far ahead to be honest." The Roar pulled off the unthinkable when they went down south to take on league leaders the Melbourne Victory and came away with all three points and a clean sheet. This weekend against second-placed Sydney FC, they will be going in confident but knowing that it's an enormous task. Moore added, "For me these are the games you want to play in, where people are excited about it, you've got the whole State of Origin type of thing. "We don't like them, they don't like us, that's great, that's a good game. "Our away form has been good so hopefully we can continue and we can get another good result to then put us in a good position. "The situation's the same again this weekend against Sydney. It'd be nice to pick up all three points and that's exactly the way we'll go down there and play to try and win the game." After also getting the points in the National Youth League, the Roar is on a high and has bought in NYL player Matt Mundy whilst striker Tim Smits will also be added to the squad in place for Tahj Minniecon who is on duty for the young Socceroos. Promising midfielder/striker Robbie Kruse and midfielder Chris Grossman also come into the squad as defender Luke De Vere joins Minniecohn on international duty.
