Queensland's McCloughan ruled out of finals

Queensland Roar defender Josh McCloughan has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

The key centre-back sustained a tear to his adductor which will see him sidelined for up to eight weeks and will force him out of the Roar's finals campaign.

The injury occurred in the first half of Friday night's minor semi-final win over Central Coast Mariners and is a similar injury to the one that caused him to miss five games earlier this season.

McCloughan is likely to be replaced by youngster Luke De Vere who returns from a hamstring injury.
