QPR midfielder Samba Diakite has reportedly returned to France for a personal issue and not for depression.
PA Sport says the 23-year-old Mali international, who is in regular contact with QPR, is dealing with a delicate personal matter and is not battling depression.
The QPR manager, Mark Hughes, announced in a statement released last week that Diakité had been granted compassionate leave.
"We hope he can overcome this very quickly and get back to being the outstanding player that he undoubtedly is," Hughes said. "In the meantime, we are giving him the time and help that he needs."
