QPR midfielder Joey Barton has slammed Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini's transfer work.

Barton, on-loan at Marseille, reckons he could've done better with the funds available to Mancini.

"Considering they could have any player in the world with the money they've got. They have got some s**** players Man city," Barton tweeted.

"Just put sky sports 4 on. How many of this Man City team would get in Barca's? Just not exciting for a team with more cash than sense.

"If I had their money on football manager, I'd build a well better side... #FACT"

He added: "Like they give a s*** about the fans. I lost respect for their fans when they took back Tevez with open arms after his self imposed exile. He even had the audacity to celebrate a goal with a golf swing in front of you all. And you lapped it up
