QPR winger Matt Phillips has been withdrawn from Scotland’s squad for friendlies with USA and Norway.
The 22-year old, who has been capped twice by the Scots, was set to feature in Glasgow on Friday and Molde on Tuesday but has headed back to London to recover from a hamstring injury.
"Matt Phillips has gone back to QPR, which is unfortunate," manager Gordon Strachan said.
"He's had strange injuries in the last year, but I've seen him recently and he's so determined.
"I was hoping to get him in and try him. He felt a bit of tightness but it's grown into a hamstring strain."
