QPR will appeal Shaun Derry's red card received in defeat at Manchester United yesterday.

Skipper Derry was sent off by referee Lee Mason for fouling Ashley Young inside the box, even though the United winger had clearly been offside when he collected Wayne Rooney's through ball.

"Yes. We will appeal the red card," said Rs boss Mark Hughes.

"We need all hands on deck on Wednesday, plus Shaun has had a rest. He only played for 15 minutes."
