QPR veteran Derry making most of late Premier League career chance

QPR skipper Shaun Derry admits he's loving it in the Premier League.

Derry, 33, was instrumental in getting the Rs into the Premier League, while remaining an unsung hero.

Now on the eve of facing Fulham for the first time at this level, he said: "I just wish I was 27 again. Coming into the Premier League at 33 I am just grasping it with both hands. I'm not a mug. I won't be here for another five or six years.

"To have this chance at my age I will be trying all I can to keep the shirt and stay in the squad.

"This is the sort of opportunity which I have been dreaming about for years. All players feel the same."
