Championship club QPR have rejected a proposal from Crystal Palace for Alex McCarthy.
According to the Daily Mail, the Eagles have been thwarted in their pursuit of the 25-year-old goalkeeper who they want to bring to Selhurst Park as competition for Julian Speroni.
It is believed that the R's rejected a £3million bid for McCarthy from Palace who are bracing for Wayne Hennessey to join West Bromwich Albion.
McCarthy joined QPR from Reading last summer and reportedly is keen on a return to the Premier League following the west London club's relegation last term.
