QPR target Tottenham pair Defoe, Pavlyuchenko

QPR boss Neil Warnock is ready to spend big to land a quality striker next month.

The Mirror says QPR may sell Adel Taarabt to Paris Saint-Germain in January and Rs owner Tony Fernandes has the money to make a bold move for a big-name striker.

The west Londoners have been looking at Tottenham's Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko, Fulham's Bobby Zamora, West Brom's Peter Odemwingie and Arsenal misfit Marouane Chamakh.

Defoe is frustrated at Tottenham and needs a strong second half to the season to stand a chance of making England's Euro 2012 squad.

Newcastle United are also interested in Defoe.
