Queens Park Rangers major investor Flavio Briatore wants to appoint Marcello Lippi as the club's manager in case they gain promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season. QPR are currently top of the Championship with 27 points from 11 matches and Briatore, who is the former Renault Formula One chief, has lofty ambitions for the club.
"We are top of the table. If we were to reach the Premier League, I have a dream: Lippi as our manager," Briatore told Chi magazine.
Lippi, who won the World Cup in 2006 with the Italian national team, is currently without a coaching job.
