Gary Hooper's agent will head to Glasgow in the New Year to hold contract talks with Celtic.

The 23-year old striker is not out of contract for another three or so years but the Hoops are keen to secure his services and want to extend that deal.

Hooper, who is attracting interest from QPR and Sunderland as well as Newcastle United (although they say they don't want a new striker), has stated that he is keen to pledge his future to Celtic and his agent Simon Dent has re-iterated that stance.

"We are meeting Celtic next week to discuss Gary's situation," Dent said.

"He's loving life in Glasgow and really enjoying his football up there.

"We have had interest from a number of clubs in England - but at the moment Gary is focused on winning the SPL with Celtic."
