QPR skipper Joey Barton's literary debut has been delayed.

The Sun says publishers Penguin snapped up the rights to Barton's memoirs late last year.

But the proposed release date of the book by Barton this autumn has been put back until at least Spring 2013 - partly because the QPR captain has been busy on dad duty since his son Cassius was born in December.
