QPR captain Joey Barton has hit out at Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs regarding his affair with his sister-in-law.
The controversial R's midfielder spoke of a number of issues at today's Professional Players Federation national conference but his most provocative words were reserved for Giggs whose extra-marital relationship with his brother's wife was exposed earlier this year.
"The Giggs issue in any walk of life is not right," a forthright Barton said.
"The behaviour of the man towards another man, towards his brother, it's not right, regardless of the player."
Barton added, that in his opinion, Giggs would have been slammed if he decided to try and take action after his name in the scandal was exposed on social media site Twitter.
"What blew it up for Giggs was when he threatened to sue Twitter - bad legal advice," Barton added.
"I don't think anybody in the world's got the kind of money to get that case through.
"Everyone on Twitter got defensive about their right to freedom of speech."
And Barton also targeted Chelsea captain John Terry for his part in an affair with former teammate Wayne Bridge's then-girlfriend which initially cost him his job as England skipper.
"There was a human element then about, as a man, what you should do either to your friend at work or one of your colleagues," he said of Terry.
"It shouldn't have happened."
