QPR striker Jamie Mackie feels that the self-belief within the squad is working its way back.
The R's lost their opening day fixture 5-0 to Swansea City at home prior to a 1-1 draw with Norwich City, which preceded a 3-1 defeat at champions Manchester City.
However, on the weekend the Hoops managed to hold West London rivals Chelsea to a scoreless draw at Loftus Road suggesting to Mackie that the confidence is returning to Mark Hughes' players.
"There is perhaps a bit more belief that we can match these sides," Mackie told the club's official website.
"We showed it last season at home and we really need to believe that now. [Against Chelsea] that's the best we have been in terms of our tempo."
