QPR are reviving their pursuit of Benfica striker Javier Saviola.

The Rs were linked with former Real Madrid and Barcelona attacker Saviola during the summer.

The 29-year-old is in the final year of his contract in Portugal's top-flight but he has the option of a one-year extension if he chooses to extend his stay and fight for his place.

However, a move to London and the cashed-up Rs has been suggested in the Lisbon press for Saviola.
