QPR secure Perone from Tombense

Premier League new boys QPR have secured the services of Brazilian defender Bruno Perone.

The 24-year old has signed a one-year deal with the West Londoners following his month-long trial with the club and will officially become an R's player subject to international clearance.

QPR boss Neil Warnock was delighted to welcome the former Xerez loanee to Loftus Road from Brazilian club Tombense.

"Bruno has fitted in very well in the time he has been with us," Warnock told the club's official website.

"He did well during pre-season. He has still got lots to learn but when the time comes I am sure we will be able to put him in the team with confidence.

"One of the things he has got to learn is the language. At the moment Ali Faurlin is helping him out."
