Adel Taarabt has put QPR in a unique position by saying he doesn't want to play alongside Joey Barton.
The Evening Standard reports that the Moroccan midfielder has told the club he no longer wants to be in the same side as Barton who has been banned for 12 matches and fined £75,000 by the Football Association for his inexplicable actions on the final day of the season.
Barton first elbowed Manchester City's Carlos Tevez before kneeing Sergio Aguero and attempting to headbutt Vincent Kompany in the dramatic clash at the Etihad Stadium and was hit with heavy sanctions by the FA.
Now it appears that Barton's teammates are unhappy with the former Newcastle United man forcing QPR to think hard about coughing up the £11million it would cost to terminate his contract.
