QPR manager Harry Redknapp believes Charlie Austin is good enough to play for England.
The 25-year old former Swindon Town and Burnley ace has netted five goals in nine Premier League outings this season which suggests to his boss that an international debut for the Three Lions is not too far away.
"Charlie's improving and, if he keeps scoring goals, there's no reason why he can't [get an England call] in the future," Redknapp told reporters.
"He's a great lad, good attitude, not a minute's problem and he enjoys being a footballer. He's had it the hard way and I think he realises just how fortunate he is to be doing what he does.
"If he keeps scoring goals and improving his game, there's no reason he can't make the breakthrough."
Since arriving at Loftus Road in August 2013, Austin has scored 25 goals in 46 appearances for the R's including four in his past five Premier League outings.
