QPR's Mbia apologises for petulant red card

QPR midfielder Stephane Mbia has apologised for the actions which saw him sent off at Arsenal on Saturday.

The Cameroon international was shown a straight red card just over ten minutes from time in his side's eventual 1-0 defeat at the Emirates Stadium for a frustrated kick-out at Gunners skipper Thomas Vermaelen but feels he has already learnt from his glaring mistake.

"I'm sorry about Saturday," Mbia wrote on Twitter. "I've learned for next time.

"Thanks to fans and team for the support. Very focused for next important dates."

Mbi will miss QPR's next three Premier League matches against Reading, Stoke City and Southampton.
