QPR are rivaling West Ham United for Shanghai Shenhua striker Nicolas Anelka.
The Sun says Anelka, 33, has not settled at Shanghai Shenhua since leaving Chelsea last season and would prefer another tilt at the Premier League.
QPR owner Tony Fernandes has spent nearly £22million on 12 players in a bid to keep the Hoops in the top flight.
And the Malaysian entrepreneur is less likely to baulk at Anelka's huge wage demands.
West Ham have also shown an interest in the player.
