QPR rival Rangers, Wolves for Portsmouth attacker Smith

QPR are joining the battle for Portsmouth attacker Tommy Smith.

The Mirror says QPR boss Neil Warnock is trying to sign striker Tommy Smith from Portsmouth in a £500,000 deal.

Warnock has asked Pompey to name a price for the former Watford hit man.

Smith is prepared to move if Portsmouth will let him. He was valued at £1m in a recent list of available players but could go for much less.

Rangers and Wolves have also been linked with Smith since the end of last season.
