QPR revive bid for Palace star Ambrose
The People says Ambrose, 27, underlined his quality with a winner at Old Trafford, as the Eagles dumped Manchester United out of the Carling Cup last month.
Neil Warnock thought he had snared the goalscoring schemer last year after the Eagles accepted a £750,000 bid.
But the former England Under-21 international opted to sign a new three-year contract at Selhurst Park after they were saved from administration.
Yet Warnock is confident his long pursuit will eventually pay off - even if it means at a higher price.
