QPR relaxed over keeping custodian Green

Relegated QPR are confident that keeper Rob Green can be persuaded to play in the Championship next season. Chelsea want Green as back-up to Thibaut Courtois, with Petr Cech expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

It is understood QPR boss Chris Ramsey has urged Green to ignore the lure of joining the champions and the 35-year-old is believed to be having doubts over spending most of the campaign on the Blues bench.

Green still has one year left on his contract.
