QPR boss Neil Warnock is planning a raid on West Ham United for defender James Tomkins.

The Daily Star says Warnock is lining up a £3m raid on West Ham for Tomkins.

QPR boss Warnock will target former England Under-21 defender Tomkins in the January sales, as he bids to boost the Loftus Road club's survival fight.

Tomkins, 22, has impressed in the ­Championship under Sam Allardyce.

And Warnock will test the Hammers' resolve with a bid in the New Year.
