QPR to play friendly in South Korea

According to Gyeongnam FC, Park Ji-sung and Queens Park Rangers will come to Korea in July for a friendly match with the K-League Classic club. The Gyeongnam FC president, Ahn Jong-bok, said the match will take place in the province on July 19.

QPR was planning an Asian tour in the summer and accepted an offer by Gyeongnam to add a match in Korea, Ahn said.

Ahn said the deal stipulates that QPR bring Park and another Korean member, Yun Suk-young, for the match.

Ahn claimed that Park will come to play regardless of his future with the Premier League strugglers.

"Even if his transfer is decided [before the friendly match], he will attend the QPR's Korean tour under the agreement," Ahn said, adding that Park will still will still make an appearance even if injured.

"To Korean football fans, Park Ji-sung weighs differently. It is not important whether his club, QPR, is in the first division or the second division," Ahn said.
