QPR boss Harry Redknapp is ready to offer Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard a long-term deal.
The People says Redknapp is keen to sign Lampard, even though he lampooned the idea of the player leaving Chelsea when asked in a press conference on Friday.
Lampard is desperate to play regular first-team football, which he has been denied at Chelsea this season.
And the security of a long-term deal at QPR would be appealing to a footballer who wants to continue playing into his late 30s.
Chelsea have not offered Lampard a new contract and they may even be willing to let him leave on a free next month, in recognition of 12 years' service.
