QPR pass on victory parade to celebrate promotion

QPR will not be holding a victory parade to celebrate winning the npower Championship title and promotion to the Premier League. The club have given no reason for the decision, other than to say it is partly down to 'factors beyond our control'.

A club statement read: "Regrettably, the club can confirm that, for a number of reasons, we will not be holding an end-of-season parade following our promotion to the Premier League.

"We know this will be a huge disappointment to our fans, who have been fantastic this season, and everyone at the club shares this view.

"The club held discussions about putting on such a celebration a number of weeks ago but, unfortunately, the ongoing FA inquiry, coupled with other factors beyond our control, prevent this from happening."
