QPR owner Tony Fernandes has taken a swipe at Chelsea's £50 million striker Fernando Torres.
Fernandes has invested in Joey Barton, Anton Ferdinand, Shaun Wright-Phillips and Luke Young since his takeover - but insists there will be no reckless spending.
"You don't get success by spending hundreds of millions of pounds," he said.
"Look at Fernando Torres, dropped by Spain, dropped by Chelsea, and that's a lot of money potentially down the drain."
