QPR owner Fernandes admits being beaten by Sunderland for Bendtner

QPR owner Tony Fernandes admits they were beaten by Sunderland to the signing of Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.

But he insisted they were never in for Stoke City striker Peter Crouch.

He admitted: "We did have a go at Nicklas Bendtner, but it didn't work out. Time ran out against us. Peter Crouch, not so much, there was a little bit of talk."
