QPR are willing to better Joey Barton's Newcastle United wages to bring him to London.
Barton underwent a Rs medical yesterday.
The London Evening Standard says Barton is on £52,000 a week but QPR's new owner Tony Fernandes, who yesterday cut the club's ticket prices, is ready to offer a four-year deal worth £60,000 a week.
The player is out of contract next summer but is available on a free transfer after he criticised Newcastle on Twitter.
