QPR have been encouraged in their interest for Hamburg SV midfielder Rafael van der Vaart.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp is keen to be reunited with Van der Vaart, who he worked with at Tottenham.
Now Klaus-Michael Kühne, a HSV powerbroker, has declared it would be best if the Dutchman was sold.
"His form has suffered under his personal problems.
"To regain his form, I think it is good if the club asks him to leave. I think a break, seen in footballing terms, is the best solution."
