QPR are prepared to offer a bumper contract to released Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand. The Daily Star says the 35-year-old defender has been released by United after 12 years at the club.
And QPR are preparing an £80,000-a-week contract which will make him the highest paid player at Loftus Road.
Ferdinand would be keen to return to London after a prolonged period away from the area he was born and raised in.
