QPR hope to convince Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha about a move by offering him £50,000-a-week.

Roberto Mancini's league leaders have cleared the defender to reunite with his old City boss Mark Hughes in a £3million switch, but the 25-year-old has personal reasons for wanting to stay closer to the north west.

Relegation threatened Rangers have offered Onuoha a staggering pay-rise of an extra £10,000-a-game to join them, says the Mirror.

Onuoha is unlikely to get such lucrative terms anywhere else.
