QPR are unlikely to sign Jermain Defoe on loan from Toronto FC according to reports.
The Telegraph is indicating that the MLS club want a loan fee for the 32-year old striker which would come on top of the wages that the R's would have to pay during his stint.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp wants his former Tottenham ace Defoe at Loftus Road for the remainder of the season as he looks to keep the west London club above the drop zone but has been told not to break the bank when bringing new players in.
