QPR assistant boss Kevin Bond believes Loic Remy can make a big impact.
Bond is hoping Remy can become QPR's very own Thierry Henry.
He told talkSPORT: "We know Remy well. We followed him at Tottenham and tried to buy him.
"In his movement and the way he handles himself and moves across the ground he's not dissimilar to Thierry Henry in the way he appears on the eye. Obviously we would love it if he had as much as impact for us as Henry did for Arsenal.
"But he's that type of player, he's got pace, he'll get in behind [defences] and hopefully help us.
"You're taking a chance with every transfer. There are no guarantees but you back yourself and we like him and hopefully he'll do the stuff for us."
