QPR and Lazio are discussing a swap deal for Djibril Cisse.

The Mirror says the Italians have made enquiries about QPR forward Adel Taarabt and it is believed Mark Hughes may be ready to cash in on the Moroccan to create funds for new signings.

Cisse, now 30, became one of the biggest names in the Premier League during his Liverpool days and enjoyed a prolific spell at Greek side Panathinaikos after leaving Anfield.

The France international joined Lazio last summer but has largely played wide even though he still sees himself as a goal-scoring centre-forward.
