QPR keeper Kenny impressed by Warnock signings

QPR goalkeeper Paddy Kenny is pleased with the signings made by manager Neil Warnock.

Wales defender Danny Gabbidon signed on a free transfer from West Ham, adding to the arrivals of striker Jay Bothroyd and Kieron Dyer.

Warnock is also hoping to tie up a deal for Blackpool's DJ Campbell as he looks to further bolster last season's championship winning squad.

Kenny said: "The gaffer has brought in some fine players.

"They're good quality signings and they've got decent experience, so it should stand us in good stead.

"Hopefully they'll add a bit more quality to the squad and if the gaffer can bring in one or two more, we'll be in great shape."

Former Sheffield United keeper Kenny, though, knows it will be no easy ride for Rangers back up among England's elite for the first time in more than a decade.

"Obviously it's a massive season for the club," he said.

"This is the league everyone wants to play in and like everybody else, I'm just looking forward to the season starting."
