QPR are believed to be showing interest in defender Alex who is unwanted by Chelsea.
The 29-year old centre-half is not in the plans of Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas and is expected to depart Stamford Bridge this winter with a move back to homeland Brazil the players initial preference.
But it has since emerged that the R's are looking at a £3million deal after Alex suggested he may want to remain in London.
