QPR hope to take Spurs striker Defoe off Toronto hands (once deal done)

QPR are eyeing a sensational loan move for Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe.

The Fulham Chronicle says QPR hope the Tottenham forward's move to MLS club Toronto gets the green light so they can immediately borrow him back until the American season starts in March.

The loan would allow Defoe to get fully match fit before he joins up with former Tottenham and Rs defender Ryan Nelson, now in charge at Toronto.
