QPR hope Samba accepts pay-cut to make move

QPR are hoping to agree personal terms with want-away Anzhi defender Christopher Samba today.

The London Evening Standard says Samba joined Anzhi from Blackburn 12 months ago but is keen to return to England because his family stayed behind in this country when he moved to Russia.

He still has three years left on his contract at Anzhi, where he is paid around £100,000 a week, but that has not scared off QPR. They hope that a salary worth around £80,000 a week, plus the promise of a release clause should they get relegated, will convince him to sign.
