Kieron Dyer is being backed for success at QPR by former R's star Trevor Sinclair.
The move was viewed as a massive gamble by some, given Dyer's injury-prone past.
But Sinclair said: "Hopefully Kieron can shake a leg and do a bit and have an injury-free season.
"I spoke to him last week and he is very keen to prove the doubters wrong.
"So please God, he has a bit of luck and he can keep his fitness because his quality is not in question. If he does that it will be a big boost for Neil."
